MUSICAL PURSUITS

I’ve been a member of the Game Music Ensemble at UCLA for over four years now. The Game Music Ensemble, more commonly known as GME, is a 150+ member orchestra and choir that performs two concerts on the UCLA campus every year.

Since it’s inception, GME has grown from a small collection of musicians to a full-fledged, professional orchestra that has collaborated with multiple video game composers including Gerard Marino (God of War, Medal of Honor), Neal Acree (World of Warcraft, Revelation Online), Grant Kirkhope (Banjo Kazooie, Donkey Kong, Kingdoms of Amalur), and Christopher Tin (Civilization). GME has also featured many guest soloists including Alex Boye (Baba Yetu) and Andres Soto (arranger). The orchestra also has strong ties to Riot Games, Blizzard Entertainment, That Game Company, and the Materia Collective.

I’ve functioned as the Concertmaster for GME for three years (see me sitting in first chair in the video above!), leading the orchestra to grow. I’ve since stepped down to allow new talent to continue running the orchestra, but still function as the Second Violin Principal.
